I started with an assortment of foam balls that were 2, 3, 4, and 5 inches. I then shaped them into squatty pumpkin forms by pressing and rolling the tops and bottoms onto the table. You can also make them tall by rolling the sides and thinning the ball if you like. Trim a piece of orange crepe, you can use Poppy or Amber colored heavy crepe,  wide enough to roll around the foam ball with the grain of the crepe vertical. I used a 1/4 inch dowel as my tool to punch the crepe into the foam. You can find dowels at your craft store. The trick to these pumpkins is to trim the paper tall enough so that you can easily poke the top and bottom edge into the foam ball. This alone will hold everything into place. If you find one side a little short, you can use hot glue and make that the bottom.

If you find that you have too much edge to easily punch it into the ball, simply trim. Once you have the ball complete and your dents formed around the pumpkin the hole in the top is where you can easily place your pumpkin stem. These are made from rolling a small piece of green crepe into a stick shape. You will want to glue the stem and wire curl into place. These pumpkins are just adorable and beat a plastic pumpkin any day! I can see myself using these year after year for decorations throughout the fall. Cheers! ~ Lia & team
