Geometric_Leather_JewelryI have been anxious to try some materials other than paper with my new Cricut Explore machine. You may remember a few project of my past project using their glitter iron-on that I love, (aprons and canvas bags) but today I went straight for the leather. That’s right. . . leather! Using the geometric gem pattern in the Design Space, I did multiple cuts on the leather using a deep cut blade. It cut like butter giving me this fun graphic look. For both earrings and the necklace, I chose three different stone shapes to add some fun. The leather was already a metallic blue tone, so once cut I added a ombre edge with gold spray paint. The earring pieces were simply attached to metal findings with a tiny hole in the top of each geode and the necklace was attached to a long chain with two jump rings on each side of the leather diamond shape.

Leather_Geometric_JewelrySince I was rolling along on the geode theme, I decided to make a fun back-to-school tee for Emily as she continues her training at Aveda Institute. They are required to wear black every day so why not cut a black glitter iron-on transfer for a black tee. Adorable! Of course I had to use the scraps to make a coordinating bag for her supplies, right? Geodes for everyone! At the end of the post you can download the printable geometric  pattern or the SVG file for your cutting machine. Enjoy! ~ Lia
