Paper Rose Gift TopperPaper Rose Hair FlowerA few of you have been asking for my paper rose pattern in just outline form. This printable is perfect to use for making roses from colored paper, sheet music, dictionary pages or any other paper. I still suggest you use a letter or text weight paper as the cardstock or even scrapbook paper does not curl as smoothly. My favorite paper to use is the metallic paper because it gives a gorgeous sheen to the petals. My favorite place to purchase this paper is at PaperPapers as they have such a great color selection to choose from. You can find all of the tools and materials needed listed on the right hand side at the top of this post – including links to our top-match paper picks from our shop for this project.

I have included a download for a step-by-step photo tutorial on how to make the long stemmed rose. The wire stem makes the rose very useful as you can add it into a bouquet or trim and curl the wire end. If you want to make a rose without the stem, you can refer to my How to Make a Paper Rose video. The only difference is using a florist wire or a removable bamboo skewer to create your rose center. You can download and print onto your selected paper the rose and the leaf pattern below. Enjoy! ~ Lia
