DIY Tissue Paper Anemone BouquetIt is funday Monday and time for a new paper flower! Anemone flowers come in many colors and the wedding favorites are the creamy white and pale pinks. Though for my paper bouquet today I used this single bloom, I am looking forward to mixing these pretty blooms with some other paper flowers. You may remember my paper anemone tutorial from last year where I printed the watercolor pattern onto a text weight paper. These are still some of my favorite paper flowers that I have designed, and today I am sharing another version and method for the gorgeous blooms. These are made entirely from tissue paper which give a delicate finish and a bit of transparency to the petals.

DIY Tissue Paper Amemone BloomsFor my flowers I used a cream tissue, a pale pink and then made a few flowers using bleached pink tissue to add a little variety in color. This bleach method is something I learned from the master of tissue flowers, Livia Cetti in her new book, The Exquisite Book of Paper Flowers. Livia has a very different version of the paper anemone in this book that you may also enjoy making. You can also view her classes and mine at Creativebug. For my other materials I used an 18 gage floral wire, green floral tape and 1 inch foam balls. My tools are scissors, pinking sheers, wire cutters, glue gun and a craft knife. You will find my step-by-step tutorial below as well as a printable pattern. Enjoy! ~ Lia
