Soft Celestial Blooms

These delightfully dainty blooms are nearly identical to pansies, but they are even smaller. To make these felt viola celestial twilight flowers, Krista used a few different felt colors in purple, blue, and pink for the top two petal layers and a bright yellow for the third. By following our tutorial you can make this little bouquet fairly quickly and enjoy these pretty pops of color anywhere in your home.

How to Make Felt Viola Celestial Twilight Flowers

  1. Gather your craft tools and materials. Then download the viola flower pattern on the right hand side at the top of this post.
  2. Cut out felt according to the pattern using a Cricut Maker (optional) or scissors. We made viola flowers in two different colorways: Periwinkle, Lavender, Sunshine and Lavender, Sweet Pea, Sunshine. Each bunch of 2-3 flowers has 1-3 leaves.
  3. Draw lines onto the petals with a purple marker, right where the rounded part starts to extend down. Press out any excess ink onto a scrap piece of paper.
  4. Bend the end of an 18-gauge floral wire and glue it to the middle of the yellow petal, below the purple marks (see tutorial).
