Ever since celebrating our 4th anniversary of the site this spring, we’ve had a chance to reminisce on the growth we’ve experienced and refine the direction we’d like to go in as we continue to expand. Throughout these four years, we have had the privilege of seeing the community you’re building with us just by exploring the unique creativity that lives in you. Whether it’s through comments on project posts, emails from members or engagement on social media, we can’t get enough of your adventures and successes in DIY! Now it’s time to create a platform that allows you to engage with our DIY community directly. Going forward, not only do we want to create more opportunities for you to share your stories, but we want to develop a space where creatives can build a community together.
Right now we are in the process of envisioning our Lia Griffith Community Page. Here’s what we’re thinking:
- A place to share project photos and stories
- A place to find exclusive live workshops for members
- A place to support and encourage each other
- A place to inspire each other
This is your community, and we want to make sure that you know how beautiful it really is! How do you want this community to evolve? What features would you like to see on a Community Page? Share your thoughts by leaving a comment below! We can’t wait to hear your ideas.
Let Your Creativity Bloom!

I think a community page is a great way for us to all connect and share techniques and styles, etc. There is more than one way to reach a common goal and if someone is ‘stuck’, hearing anothers idea may just be what they need.
Congratulations on 4 years.
Thank you for your input Misty, we agree!
Love the idea! I think a space for sharing photos, comments, ideas sounds terrific! AND Of course I love the exclusive member projects!! It would be cool to see the members that have tried a project and their reviews, comments, or tips..I think Pinterest has something similar?
I can’t hardly wait! 😉
YES we love all those ideas. We are anxious to get it up and running! 🙂

I’m looking to make this protea. Do you have a template for this?
We have a metallic paper protea on the site: https://liagriffith.com/paper-protea-flower/
A wonderful idea.
Priority for me: sharing project photos and inspiration.
The community page on your website: yes, please
Congratulation for the four-years-anniversary. I followed you on ellinee and am here since you started your own Website. Good luck for the future
Thank you for your feedback, and for being such a loyal member!!
I am hoping the community page will not be tied to an existing social media site. Not everyone uses mainstream social media – for a variety of reasons – so I think a location specific to Lia’s brand would be the best. Another facet of the existing Lia Griffith website.
Would this be limited to members only? Monitored? Would members become part of the creative team? Would content be restricted to items made using Lia’s designs, or open to all creative efforts, regardless of their source?
Sounds like a wonderful idea, though. For those of us without a nearby crafting community, an online place to meet and share would be very welcome.
We are planning for this space to be on the site itself so no social media needed to access it. The community page would be for members to share and talk and the only monitoring we will insist on is that it is a positive, uplifting and safe place. I don’t think creativity should be restricted to what we provide so I love the idea of everyone sharing their talents and creative efforts so we will definitely put this on the list. Thanks for your input Abi!
I love the idea of being able to connect with others who find Lia Griffith as inspiring as I do. When I think about what kind of interactions I’d like to have with these people, I can’t help but think of my own personal benefits from the inspirations I find at Liagriffith.com, most notably, a soothing calm and mindfulness. I use art and creating as a coping technique in this busy world we live in. Taking a small block of time for myself, to create with my own two hands, is not only soothing to my anxiety, but I could even consider it a meditative process. As with many others, I use mindfulness practices in my daily life to keep me grounded and in touch with the simple things. For me, and I must believe it is true for others, crafting with Lia is truly therapeutic!
Thank you Jessica!
