Christmas Candle Wraps & Matchbox Labels
Another fun project that was printed in Made in Paper magazine Christmas issue. are these printed candle wraps and matchbox covers for the upcoming Holiday season. These make great gifts, for the hostess, the boss or coworker, the person who has everything. . . and are easy to make using a pillar candle and a simple mini matchbox. You can find the matchboxes at your grocery store, drug store or even at the dollar store for $1 for 10. Just download and print these designs at the end of the post. I printed them onto full sheet label paper, but the candle wraps will work on any paper. I used one of my favorite non-traditional holiday color palettes mixing of teal, aqua and greens along with a faux bois print and really pretty typography. I love this kind of project where the graphic designer me gets to come out and play. Enjoy! ~ Lia

I’m wondering if the sticker/paper wrapper burn down with the candle? I’m wouldn’t like to gift a fire hazard!
The design is still beautiful even all these years after the original post 🙂
No, we don’t light these long enough to melt down to the paper. Definitely don’t let the wax or flame hit the paper 🙂
I finally got the cardstock at Hobby Lobby this week so I can make at least 2 of the poinsettias. I could buy them at $tree but want to see how I do making these. Now that Halloween is over today I can start working on holiday gifts and decorations.
Just wanted to thank you once again for all the exquisite printables you’ve given us so generously. I’ll have such fun making things. Happy weekend. Now if it would just get cold enuf to snow.
Wonderful! These are fun to make and quite easy too. I think I will be making white and gold ones for my Holiday decor.
Oh how beautiful!! Thanks so much! 🙂

I still have to wait to get all the awesome printables you’ve been so generous in giving us. I never seem to get online but when your site is super busy. Is there a quiet time at all? Guess that’s not such a good question huh? You want your blog to be busy all the time. I’ll keep trying tho.
With what you’ve shown us I won’t need to go anywhere else for inspiration and templates, etc. to get started on my holiday crafting.
I did buy BHG 2013 Christmas Ideas magazine. Lots of good stuff in there also. So I’ll have to revise my statement, will get inspiration mostly from your blog and the zine, (and all the cool ideas on the blogs). Boy was that an erroneous statement huh? I meant well tho.
I love everything you show us so much. I’ve completed some of the projects you’ve featured. Can hardly wait to make the poinsettia, was able to print all of it out for once last night. Guess I’ll have to be patient waiting to download the other projects you’ve shared lately. Happy week Lia.
I will have to go get the magazine too. Maybe someday I will be featured there as well. 🙂
I’m a little sad because our Christmas colours are gold and silver this year but I’m thinking of incorporating a light blue like the ‘Peace’ one. So I can use that one 🙂
What would you fill the empty matchboxes with??
I love gold and silver for Christmas. 🙂 I would fill the match boxes with matches! Haha. I love giving a candle and pretty match box as a gift combo.
So pretty, Lia! Thanks for offering so many amazing projects to print!
So happy you like them!
LOVE these!! Perfect colors for my living room this season 🙂 Love the candles, but let’s talk about those trees in the background!! So perfect, love the styling.
You saw them! Yes, these will be posted as a tutorial soon. 🙂
