DIY Paper Mistletoe Kissing Ball
Memorable Mistletoe
With all of the paper greenery we are doing this season, a mistletoe kissing ball is a must. Though I think the mistletoe would look great with a small bundle of sprigs and tied with a red ribbon, this kissing ball makes quite the statement and is perfect for your holiday party or larger gatherings.
Thanks to our friends at PaperPapers, this DIY project is free! Just scroll down for the template links and photo tutorial.
To make this mistletoe kissing ball, just pop over to PaperPapers where she is hosting both the SVG cut file and PDF template. For this project, I used two colors of metallic green and Ice Silver for the white berries. You can also order the paper supplies for the gorgeous metallic look by using this link here.
I will be using these colors for a gorgeous traditional Christmas paper wreath on Monday, mixed in with a little bit of red. You can follow my step-by-step tutorial below to make this pretty decoration. This would make a fun photo booth prop as well, don’t you think? Enjoy! ~ Lia

What Size is foam ball?
You can make it any size but we used a 4 inch ball.
I love the idea of this craft – but your tutorial is awful! You need to say approximately how many to make of each color! Details are missing all over the place! You could better explain how to duplicate, or provide a page with them repeated.
Well, the quantity would really depend on how large your ball is and how close you choose to glue them. I recommend that you cut at least 12 berries and 30 of each size of the leaf to start. Hope that helps! 🙂
I wonder how this would look in felt…I might try it!
Great idea!! I also have another post with a felt kissing ball 🙂 Play around with the designs as much as you want!!
loved it!!!
🙂

You are so sweet! Thank you so much!
Lia, you can read my mind! Awesome work, thank you sooo much! ♥
🙂
I’m also having trouble attaching the score lines to the leaves. What am I doing wrong?
Have only what you are going to print and score shown on your board, make sure that your score marks have the score selected. Select all and group it together. I am not in Design Space right now so that might not be the exact terminology:) Cricut Customer Service team can probably explain it a lot better than I can.
Me ha gustado mucho el post. Por favor seguid publicando.
Lia.. You are so clever what a neat idea. Love it and thank you.
You are too sweet;-)
Lia,
I’m wondering how you might store this for next year without it getting scrunched?
Hi Diane, I might wrap it in tissue and put it in a box. Honestly I have a box where I put a lot of my flowers, as long as I don’t put anything heavy on top they do well:)
Hello Lia,
I am a huge fan of your work. I have Pinterests
showing some of your work. I haven’t updated your postings ue to a lack of time.
Will u ever go back to designing your lovely projects so that those of us who lack the funds for the expensive tools and specialty paper?
Wishing you and your family a blissful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Best,
Dee
Hi Dee, I usually always include a PDF of my projects for those that don’t have a personal cutting machine. I love the metallic paper but you can use any type of paper for all my projects. Have you seen the felt projects? That is my new love:)
What size do I cut the svg file?
The beauty is that you can choose whatever size you want:) I did my biggest leaf 3″ long.
I love this! I’m wondering how many of each leaf (large and small) you used for each shade of green? I’m using the SVG and want to make sure I cut out enough, but don’t want to go overboard.
I cut about 20-25 each. I wanted to make sure I covered the foam ball, you can also cover the ball with tissue paper so that you cannot see the foam.
I love the beauty and quirkiness of this! I’m pinning it for future reference.
Thank you:)
Thanks so much for all the wonderful Christmas items – they’re really nice!
Thank you. I have had so much fun creating all these holiday Projects!
This is soooo cute Lia! I want to create one immediately, even if I don’t have anyone to stand under it with.
You never know who will show up for a kiss:)
