I love to make the most of the long days at this time of year. There is nothing better than sitting outdoors with good friends, eating good food and drinking good wine until the sun goes down. . . and even after. My outdoor space changed quite dramatically recently when I had a gorgeous wooden studio built there for photo shoots and filming. I will give you a full tour of that space very soon. Since then I have been rethinking the space and planning how I want update it for the summer. The decked area, alongside the studio, is spacious enough to accommodate a couple seating areas so I began by choosing an outdoor table and chairs that would comfortably seat 6 for dinner. Made from eucalyptus wood the Callaway Rectangular Table from Birch Lane shows the knots and natural imperfections in the wood – a look that I just adore. The matching side chairs and arm chairs just look beautiful and are super comfortable – I know – I spent a good few hours on them this weekend…..! Here I dressed my table with stoneware dinner plates from Birch Lane and a floral arrangement of peonies, lamb’s ear and lilies by my dear flower artist friend Kyla Beutler, who joined me from Idaho to celebrate the long weekend. Just look at those yellow peonies. Incredible! Above the outdoor dining set I have hung this adorable vintage Edison string light set. The glow that comes from these lights is a wonderful warm tone that is just perfect for outdoor dining. The gorgeous paper medallions and Celebrate banner in a palette of pinks and metallic compliment the set perfectly. Both are from on of my favorite paper party decor company, My Minds Eye. See more of the outdoor range at Birch Lane and buy now to take advantage of their FREE shipping offer on all orders over $49. I love to treat my outdoor dining area with the same love, attention and detail as my indoor spaces and I hope that I have inspired you to do the same. Like me, I want you to love where you live! Enjoy! ~ Lia

Una meravella de casa la teva , plena de bon gust com tot lo que tu fas , és nota sempre la teva empremta , m’agradaria trobar-mi ara aquí amb tu.

Thank you! xx
Oh my, what a nice spot! And your decoration is really beautiful!
Thank you so much. I love it out there!
This is beautiful. You’re the creative equivalent of Midas; every thing you touch turns to gorgeous!
You just made my day with your sweet comment!
Gorgeous, Lia. Thanks for sharing, however, I will not be doing any outdoor dining or entertaining. I guess I’m not sure where you live, but where I’m at, the weather can change rapidly, very windy at times & can be quite buggy. I don’t know what you do about the bugs, but since West Nile, I don’t relish being outside that much, nor do I care to put on a lot of bug repellent or want to rely on any bug candles/zappers. I don’t know where people live where they don’t have to deal with windy days/evenings or the bugs!
Oh no, you need to move to the Pacific Northwest. The summers here are lovely and mostly bug free.
Everything is beautiful!! I love how green all your background is.
Thank you. I do love all the greenery too!:-)
