Mix Paper Flowers with Fresh Leaves & Lavender to Make a Gorgeous Bouquet
Mix Paper Flowers with Fresh Leaves & Lavender to Make a Gorgeous Bouquet

This last weekend, I volunteered to make three flower arrangements for my niece's graduation reception. I knew I would want to recycle some of the gorgeous paper gardenias and the mix of plum, raspberry, and mauve mums that I had saved from a guest post to coordinate with her plum graduation outfit. I gathered fresh-cut camellia branches from my yard, cut long-stemmed mint from my sister's garden, and added some of the fresh-cut lavender we found at a local lavender farm. The results were gorgeous and very fragrant at the afternoon gathering. Below, I will give you step-by-step instructions on how I created these frugalista bouquets. Later this week, I will share the printable templates for the paper mums. Enjoy! ~ Lia

Leave a CommentHi Lia! I love everything in your website! But I love this arrangement in particular because it matches my wedding motif! I hope to replicate it for my wedding in October. 🙂
May I know if the template for the crepe paper mums and paper mums are the same?
Thanks,
Frances
Hi Frances. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! The template for the crepe paper mums and the regular mums are not the same.
Can the flower template be found in Cricut?
No, the designs is ours not Cricut. 99% of our patterns are available on our site only.
YOU ARE AWESOME, thank you for sharing your unbelievable talents for all to duplicate
Awww, thanks Claire! What good is it if I don’t share. 😉
I just wanted to write to say I thought your bouquet was just lovely, simple but incredibly effective – I love the colours, the textures and I should imagine smell is devine. So inexpensive too!
Love it!
Thanks Trixie. I have a stash of paper flowers for these kind of occasions. A great way to add color to any bouquet. 🙂
i love having your stunning ideas appear in my inbox. so fresh and fun and easy to do. thanks for sharing what you do with the world.
Awww, thanks Dana! You just made my day. 🙂
I want to use the paper roses I made in February from your kit. My instincts tell me to strip the florist tape from the wire stems before placing the roses in water. Am I correct here? I’ve got a nice mix of fresh flowers in my garden that would look great in an arrangement!
Great idea Linda! You don’t really need to remove the tape. It will be fine in the water. I did not have tape on mine because of time restrictions. 😉
This is very beautiful!
Thanks Lisa!
Beautiful! My daughter’s bridal shower is in a couple of months. Maybe when I finish her invitations…
Yes! Perfect for a baby shower.
Beautiful Lia! At first glance I thought they were all real!!
They do look that way! It takes a second look.
Totally love the flower arrangement. I might use the idea for my nieces baby shower later this year. It would be such a nice center piece. Thank you so much for sharing. You are amazing!
Yes, it is easy to make and beautiful. Perfect for a baby shower center piece.
This is absolutely stunning, Lia! Brilliant idea. I still say someday we should do a party shoot highlighting all of your gorgeous flower designs. 🙂
Have you thought of doing a printed mixed flower kit in your Etsy shop? A mixed flower bouquet or wreath or garland would be so cool.
Lisa
Great idea Lisa! I will add that to my list for sure.
I love this idea as cut flowers can be so expensive but you don’t have to compromise on fragrance 🙂
I loved using thing I cut from the garden too. 🙂
