Paper ProteaKing of the Flowers

Proteas, also called sugarbushes, grow all across the southern hemisphere, and they have a captivatingly wild look to them. To bring this paper protea to life, Meagan used foam for the base and art marker detailing for the petals. Read on for the full tutorial!

Steps

  1. Gather the tools and materials listed above.
  2. Cut the flower pieces according to the template at the bottom of the post. Use the PDF if you are cutting by hand or the SVG if you are using a cutting machine.
  3. Using the foam cutter, shape one half of the foam ball into a cone.
  4. Using Mod =Podge, glue the tissue paper squares to the foam ball until it is completely covered.
