Last month was all about transforming your indoor space into a tropical oasis. So now we’re focused on how to have fun in your own backyard! Of course there’s no rule that you can’t camp out in your living room or basement. To help you create an unforgettable outdoor adventure, our graphic designer Lindsay has created these papercut camping lanterns that you can make in no time at all with a cutting machine.

If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can still cut this paper lantern by hand with our PDF template. 

Cute & Campy 

This papercut creation was designed keeping the elements of a vintage camping lantern in mind. In the past we have used metallic colors for our paper lanterns, so this time we went with a dark green. We also chose three different greens to give our papercut camping lanterns some variation. You can do the same or choose whatever colors you like best.

As we do with all of our paper lanterns, we added LED tea lights to create a warm, cozy glow. These would be perfect for an outdoor party, BBQ, or picnic. Or you can bring them inside for an indoor camping adventure.

We cut our paper lantern using 12″x12″ cardstock paper, then downsized the SVG file in Design Space to cut a smaller version from 8.5″x11″ paper.
