VIDEO: Threaded Juniper Sprig Holiday Cards
For this month’s free Craft Camp project, Emily is showing you how to use embroidery floss to make these juniper sprig holiday cards. She will also be sharing her personal tips for painting abstractly and blending your paint colors with water. This is a simple, low-pressure way to learn some painting techniques, so we hope you have fun experimenting!
When you’re ready to get started, check out our supplies list below. And be sure to download the free printable template on the right hand side at the top of this post.

Thread Together Some Holiday Fun
There is plenty of room to get creative with this DIY craft and make a variety of juniper sprig holiday cards for family, friends, and neighbors. You can also turn this into a family activity where you all paint and thread your cards together. You will see the paint colors that Emily used in our video tutorial below, but we encourage you to use whatever colors you like best!
Although we designed this project for our Kid's Craft Camp, it really is perfect for all ages and skill levels. Plus the design is not overly Christmasy, so you could make these cards for other occasions as well.
Crafting tip: When choosing which paint colors to use, we recommend using one dark color, one lighter color, and a contrasting color.
