If you’re new to working with crepe paper — don’t worry — this project is great for beginners! However, we do recommend a cutting machine to keep things tidy and precise. Once you’ve gathered the rest of your tools and materials, follow our simple step-by-step guide to bring this Crepe Paper Lambs Ear plant to life in no time.
Lambs Ear is such a wonderful choice for this month’s theme of renewal. Symbolically, these plants represent comfort, peace, and gentleness — all qualities that make it an ideal choice for your home or workspace. Lambs ear leaves are covered in soft silvery white hairs, giving them the velvety feel of animal fur, hence the name. Also, these plants are part of the mint family, so what better way to refresh your space?
Our double-sided crepe paper is the real start of the show with this project and key to capturing the signature velvety texture of the leaves. When crafting with crepe paper, remember to treat it gently. Also, don’t worry if every leaf isn’t identical — nature doesn’t do “perfect,” and neither do we! Variety in size, direction, and shape will make your Crepe Paper Lambs Ear look even more like the real deal.
Once your Crepe Paper Lambs Ear plant is complete, the fun continues because now it’s time to display your beautiful work! This plant looks lovely perched on a windowsill, office desk, or coffee table. Pop it into a clay pot as pictured here to create an earthy and elegant piece for your home.
If you’d like to share your beautiful creation with the world, we’d love to see it! So remember to snap a photo of your Lambs Ear Plant and share it on Instagram with #MadeWithLia, or post in our crafters’ community!

Is it wrong that I want to cover this with flocking powder when it’s finished? 😉
Haha! It almost looks like it is flocked with the PanPastel.
