DIY Felt Holly Headband
Our cute felt holly headband is a sweet DIY project for the Holiday season. Made using a variety of felts in green, teal and pink with a little glitter gold thrown in, this handmade piece is a festive head turner! To make our felt headband you will need to first download the holly leaf and berry patterns below. Print onto regular printer paper and cut out the shapes. Draw around the templates onto your felts and cut with fabric scissors. If you love the glitter but can’t find sparkly felt in your local craft store, then use glitter iron-on vinyl and press it onto another leaf in felt – simple! Our little pink berries were made using felt roving – if you are new to this technique you can follow our tutorial here. It’s a simple technique that is very forgiving so if it’s not something you have tried before, this is the time! Once your felt leaves are cut, add a little running stitch down the middle in a contrasting thread then pinch and glue them together at the stalk. Assemble the leaves and berries together on the side of a plastic headband using a low temperature glue gun and you are all set!

where are the instructions for cricut? these say to cut the patterns with scissors, please advise.
This project was designed before Cricut could cut the felt. I have created and added the SVG file for you. You can use the steps to cut this with the Cricut using the rotary blade. If you use the glitter HTV on the felt, iron that on first, then place it HTV side down onto the mat to cut. Do a test to make sure it cuts through first. Enjoy!
