There is so much fun to be had when handcrafting your wedding day — or helping out with a friend’s celebration! This month we have DIY wedding tutorials for paper lanterns, cupcake and wedding cake toppers, family seating signage, and a gorgeous matching wedding invitation . . . all using the same delicate papercut spring blossom design. Of course you will also need some wedding table numbers with the same design for your tables!
On all of these projects we have used a range of materials from birch wood sheets for our cupcake toppers to classic white card stock for the paper lanterns and metallic paper sheets for today’s table numbers. Using a metallic paper will give your table numbers some slight shine as well as an elegant feel. But you can also use whatever type or color of paper you want!
Love is in Bloom
After designing these DIY wedding table numbers, we cut them with our cutting machine. Then we glued a bamboo skewer on them and stuck them in a small pot. We chose a pot with some simple greenery but you could also stick your table numbers into a floral arrangement.
Another good thing about these spring blossom projects is that they are versatile enough to be used for other special occasions! You can use them for baby showers, bridal showers, engagement parties, birthday parties, or even Sunday brunches. I just love lighting up the paper lanterns on a rainy afternoon at home and there’s a friend of mine who is planning to print these table numbers onto brightly colored cardstock and stick them onto her toddler’s playroom wall as counting cards — what a great idea!

- Low-Temp Hot Glue Gun

- Frosted Text Weight Paper — PaperPapers Stardream Metallic Crystal
- Bamboo Skewers
Instructions
- If using a cutting machine, download the SVG file below. If using scissors, download the PDF template.
- Cut the pattern out for each number you need.
- Glue bamboo skewers onto each table number for floral or greenery centerpieces.

My Cricut is new to me, so please excuse this question if it is obvious!
I would like to make a corresponding sign for the ‘Cards box’ at the wedding…I’m wondering if I could remove the number and just add the text “Cards”. Is there a way I could do that? And what font would match?
I really appreciate your help….and I love your site…there will be many more projects I will try once the wedding is over!

Hi Kathy, congrats on your upcoming wedding! I can explain how to do this but you may want to check Cricut’s website/YouTube channel for more detailed instructions how to use their software. You can remove the number in Design Space using the Contour option (located at the bottom right of the layers palette). To add “Cards”, use the Text tool to type the text, then align it over the blossom card at the size you want, and where you want it to cut. Select the text and the blossom card, then choose Slice (bottom right hand corner, next to Contour). Delete the 2 slice result layers. You can check out free options on dafont.com. Have fun!
I’m so confused! Did these used to be free, but now you can only access them if you’re a paying member? I’m trying to access via my phone, and I keep getting prompted that I need to have a membership. 😭

Hi Katie! No, this is not one of our free projects. You can always sign up for a monthly membership then cancel after you have downloaded what you want, if you’re not interested in making more projects 🙂

I know there’s a lot of people asking for table numbers 11 and up, but it’s not untoward if I know how to do this in Illustrator? I mean, it is personal use only, but if i share with you all my wedding crafting i wouldnt want to commit a faux pas by creating my 11-14 table numbers?

You can try it or use the cover for the invitation as the frame around the number.

You need to save the svg file on your computer and open it through your Design Space software. I have a couple of video tutorials on my You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZTCRUBYG0M
Love this template thank you for posting it for free!! I am sort of a newbie when it comes to being crafty how would you exactly cut these out?? Do i need any special tools??
You are welcome;-) For the svg file you need a personal cutting machine that takes svg files. But if you are using the pdf file you just need a sharp exacto knife.
I love these numbers! I wish I could use for my daughters wedding but we have 18 tables! The numbers only go up to 10. I would also love to see an escort card with this design. So sad. I love your blog and designs.

Make sure you are downloading the pdf not the svg file. Those are the only two formats I have. If you don’t have Adobe you can download the free Adobe Reader version.

I love this and want to cut them out for my wedding, but I need them to be bigger. Is there anyway of making them bigger? The room is quite large so could do with each one being about A5.

Yes, you can simply size them when you print them. There should be a percentage size option in your print window.

You can edit the numbers in Illustrator, if you don’t have Illustrator you can hire a designer to help. Congrats on your upcoming wedding! (if that is what you are using them for)
