Embroidered Monogram Corner Bookmark
This summer has been particularly hot, and while we love the outdoors, sometimes it’s great to step inside and cool off. One of my favorite indoor pastimes is reading—when I’m not crafting, of course. A good book is great, but a great bookmark is better, and Emily has designed this gorgeous Embroidered Monogram Corner Bookmark to take your lesiure time up a notch.
This craft requires medium embroidery. If it’s been a while since your last embroidery project, then be sure to check out our Embroidery Skills Course before you get started. Ready to go? Take a look at our list of tools and materials below.

More Bang for Your Book
Emily designed this pretty corner bookmark with tiny embroidered flowers and a bold, encircled monogram. We printed our pattern on Sulky Stick N Stitch which made this project so much easier. Just print, stick, embroider, and rinse your way to a neat and tidy design.
We chose our wool blend felt backround in white and tidepool to offer a little variety, but no worries, we have so many colors to choose from. Pick whatever shade you’d like to see peeking out from between those pages to make this project truly your own. Personalize one of these beauties with your initial, or make a pair of monogramed bookmarks for a unique wedding or engagement present.
We’d love to see how it all turned out, so show us your bookmark and the book you’re reading in our crafters’ community or on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia.
Stitches used: Back Stitch, Split Stitch, French Knot, Seed Stitch, and Lazy Daisy.

could you tell me what kind of felt to buy to make the bookmarks? I’ve looked at a lot and they look too thin or are really expensive for the wool blend ones. I need help please. thank you!
We sell all of the felt that we us in our shop. You can make a least a dozen bookmarks from one piece of felt so I think it is worth is. Any fully synthetic felt is just not worth it when you are adding beautiful embroidery. Here is a link to our shop: https://feltpaperscissors.com/product-category/felt-sheets/
Hello Lia Griffith Team,
My daughter made this bookmark for me for Christmas and it’s so beautiful. She would now like to make them for her roommates. Any chance you could change the PDF so more than one design(the triangle) could be printed per page? I have turned the Sulky to print on the other end and it still doesn’t clear the first print. Emily, you designed yet another wonderful project. Thank you
That is a great idea, Molly. I have had this on our list to update. I will keep you posted.
