We're playing with soft textures and playful felt colors for this Felt Pencil Case project to create two charming designs: a cute cat and a friendly dog. With a few sheets of felt in various shades, a zipper, and some basic sewing supplies, you'll be all set when the new school year comes around. We recommend a cutting machine for your pieces and a sewing machine to put it all together. But if you'd prefer to stitch this up by hand — that works, too!
The beauty of this Felt Pencil Case is that it's completely customizable. Let your kiddos pick their favorite colors for the cat and dog bodies, and then get creative with the details. Think: a button nose, and floppy ears! To be clear: the limit does not exist. We've used felt in classic doggy brown and kitty cream, but there are no limits – a bright pink poodle or a mischievous green tabby would be just as delightful!

Back to the TopJust made 2 of the dogs with a tan color last Thursday, will be sending to grand nieces just before school starts. Very simple and since I have a dream of a sewing machine they look perfect. Very cute and simple project. Thank you!
Yay!! We had one of our new friends update that tutorial for you all. She makes tiny costumes for stop animation and has some great tips and tricks to add. 🙂
