Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! We have been busy making snowmen this week – well snowman crafts anyway! We were challenged by our friends at Floracraft® to re imagine a project from their Christmas ebook. Below is a picture of our inspiration.
Using two FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam balls we created this little guy for the Holiday season. As well as two sizes of foam balls, you will also need white wool roving felt, orange, black and red felt for his accessories, white embroidery floss, black adhesive gems, a roving needle, a length of wire to connect the two balls, a length of paper wrapped floral stem wire, scissors and a low temperature glue gun. Once you have gathered all your materials you can follow my tutorial below. This is a great beginner project for those wanting to dabble with roving felt as there is little chance of getting it wrong! Likewise, his felt top hat is made using a glue gun and the scarf only requires a simple running stitch so this is the perfect project for any crafting newbies!
If you would like to get crafty with foam, head over the the Floracraft Make It: Fun Crafts page. And if we have inspired you to make a felted snowman, please share your creativity with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #DIYDreamingWithLia and we will share our faves. See you there! ~ Lia
