Become a MemberWe could all use a bit of inspirations sometimes, so today we decided to share these pretty inspirational felt pennants that you can make to hang around your bedroom or work space! The beauty of these felt pennants is that you can choose your own colors to make them fit your exact decor scheme and style. Play around with different color combinations for your felt, or choose your favorite color for the iron-on vinyl to inspire you as you conquer any project that comes your way!
Tools
- Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo 4 (optional)
- Detail Scissors
Materials
Begin this project by printing the PDF template below. Cut out the shapes to use as a guide for cutting your felt. You will find the template for the large triangle as well as streamers to add to your banner. Once you have your felt pieces ready, you can put the pennant together before you adhere the text. We used iron-on adhesive to attach the streamers and end pieces, but you can also use hot glue or a basic running stitch. Attach your streamers first, one to the front of the pennant, and one to the back of the pennant. We attached four streamers in total, but you can add as many as you would like! Next, add your vertical end pieces to cover where your streamers are glued, along the edge of the pennant. We added an edge piece to both the front and the back of the banner. Simple!
Unfortunately, printable iron-on does not work on felt, so you will need a cutting machine to add the text to these felt pennants. Download the iron-on file below and cut the text onto iron-on vinyl in any color. You have a choice between the phrases “Live Creatively” or “Make it Work,” both inspirational for any home or office work space! Use an iron to attach your text and it is ready to hang. You can use thumb tacks or double sided tape to stick your felt pennants to the wall. And there you have it! A stylish and functional way to motivate and inspire you while you work? Yes, please 🙂 ~ Lia

I downloaded the svg but I don’t understand what the large shape is on the first page. Thank you!
I took a look and did not see anything out of order, but I know that for some of our older files, the Cricut software update adds strange unwanted artifacts to the design. Try hiding that layer in design space.
I am new to crafting, and I was wondering what kind of a “cutting machine” you would use for this?
Thank you!
Hi Kristi,
We love the Cricut Maker and use it for a lot of our projects 🙂
Hi Lia,
Really love this design of yours!
May I know the name of the font? It goes so well with such fresh design.
Thank you.
Thank you!! The font is called Smoothy.
Love these!
What size felt does the largest piece for the pennant need?
Thank you.
We started with a piece about 18″ long 🙂
