Jumping in on the Cardstock vs. crepe- I love all the variety you offer in paper and felt. With that said, crepe is absolutely my favorite for paper flowers, followed by frosted. Your crepe paper flowers are the initial reason I bought a membership. I find the Cardstock less forgiving and not as enjoyable to work with in a paper flower format (love it for other things and have tons).
Thank you for that feedback! We have a new crepe paper wild rose coming in our workshop bundle this month.
Hey ladies! When I load the .svg file to Design Space, the instructions indicate to resize the box to 5″x5″, but that seems small. When resized, it makes the large leaf 2″ tall (including the fold back to hid the wire). Is this size correct? The default size when it is originally uploaded is 8″x8″, which I think is correct. Thanks in advance for the help!
Thank you for pointing this out Nicole! 8×8 is correct and we have updated the file to reflect that.
Hello!
Just to contribute to the crepe paper v. cardstock debate, I don’t have a cutting machine, so I’m more partial to the crepe paper flowers because I can actually make them without spending all my time cutting!
Thank you for choosing this flower because it was more hand-cutting friendly, but a lot of the cardstock flowers aren’t accessible for folks without cutting machines.
Thank you for your wonderful site and community!
Thanks for your feedback, Madeleine. Good to hear you enjoyed this flower. I guess the beauty of the cutting machine is the detail it can cut, but I have to agree that crepe is my favorite too. 🙂
I downloaded the templates but there was no tutorial in the zip file. Will one be added?
We always add the tutorial to the Member Make projects after our live class.
Is the color Hillary used to make the leaves in this flower similar in color to any of the colors in the original color green packs that you sell. Thanks. Very excited to make this new flower!
Yes! You can use Spanish Moss from the original pack. We are waiting to get that one back in stock (factory issues) so Hillary is just a filler for until then. 🙂
Also, what weight is your cardstock. I probably have some of all close colors but Hilary has me stumped. Thanks.
You can use anything in the 60-80lb. range. And yes… any pretty green should work fine for this project. 🙂
What pack is Hilary in?
Hillary is in it’s own pack.
Hi lia,
i was wondering if you are going to havi a bundle for this membermake as the previous ones?.
Since this one uses cardstock, we couldn’t find a great way to make a bundle. You can buy cardstock from our shop or use what you have on hand.
Thank you.
Can’t wait for April 19th.
See you there!!
Hi! When will the MM bundle be available to order? Thank you, Coleen Barnes
Since this is a different material set, using cardstock, we do not have a bundle for this flower.
I’m excited to make these! Using cardstock to make flowers is new to me, but I’m looking forward to learning. Thank you Lia for always bringing new craft ideas, techniques, and challenging me. I’ve learned so much from you and your team over the years. Cheers to you and your team!
Thank you, Susan! I love hearing that. This should be a fun project and a bit different from our usual. 🙂
I am so excited about this member make! Just love seeing the wild roses during my summer walks. I have never been a fan of roses (sorry), however, I just love wild roses. What do you suggest prepping for member make, in terms of making one stem? This will give me some homework! Thank you so much for this cardstock make!
Haha. Love your comment. This will be a fun project for sure. Trying something new!!
Hi Lia and team, I’ve made flowers from your text weight paper but see these are made from cardstock. Can’t wait to try something new. These wild roses are beautiful and I am so excited about making these. Thanks for all the new and inspiring ideas.
Meagan really knocks it out of the park with her cardstock designs!! See you at the Member Make workshop!
Can’t wait for April 19th to arrive..
Is one of my favorite days of the month
