Monogrammed Christmas Stockings
This is my last Christmas post this year (and our 50th Christmas project for 2014). I will have to admit I am a little bit sad for it and wish I had another two weeks to fill these pages. There are just too many great project ideas will have to wait until next year. Until then. . . For the last project I am sharing a set of monogrammed Christmas stockings. I made these for my daughter and her boyfriend who will be joining me this eve. I have filled them up since I shot this photo yesterday. As you may have noticed, these last few months have been filled with wool felt projects and I will be the first to admit, I have fallen deeply in love with this craft material. Synthetic felt. . . no thanks, but wool or wool blend felt is so luxe and easy to the touch not to mention great fun to create with. For these felt stockings, I used felt in a natural cream color. I then added the white wool blend felt for the monogram and details creating this gorgeous white on white look. Maybe for next year I will add a hand stitch around each of my white decorative pieces, but for today these stocking look perfect. For the stocking pattern and the holly and antler pattern along with all of the letters for your monogram, just use the button at the end of the post to download the printable PDF. You can follow the step-by-step tutorial on how to assemble these pretty stockings.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and everything in between! Stay tuned for the 2015 calendar printable, New Year’s Eve party printables and more crafty goodness! ~ Lia

Love these , but the monograms didnt print
Hi Sue, what problem are you having? The PDF download seems to be working fine on our end.
Lia, I checked your site, and couldn’t find the .svg versions of the embellishments (alphabet, holly leaves & berries, stag horns). Do you have a set of .svg files for these? I’d like to try to cut these out on my Silhouette Cameo. I know felt isn’t the easiest thing to cut, but since I’m making 3 stockings, thought I’d give it a go. Thanks!
So sorry, this project is a few years old and I didn’t make SVG files. I usually don’t for felt projects since I haven’t successfully cut felt on the Cricut 🙁
Love this stocking! Can you tell me exactly how much wool felt is needed for a stocking? I can’t find the yardage or dimensions anywhere. I would like to make three of them for my daughter, son in law and granddaughter, so wanting to make sure I purchase enough felt for all three stockings as well as for the applique pieces.
Hi! You’ll need 3 pieces of 12×18 felt for each stocking (2 for the front and back, and 1 for the cuff), plus 1 sheet extra for the monograms and other designs 🙂
THANK YOU LIA & STAFF AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN

You’re so welcome Judy!
SOOO pretty and stunningly simple! Inspired to make some new stockings this year!
Thank you, I am so happy to hear you are feeling inspired!! I’ll also be posting another stocking design in the coming weeks so look out for that as well 😉
Thanks for sharing all your wonderful posts – so many projects to try. Santa gave me a Simplicity felting machine for Christmas and I can’t wait to use your felt patterns in wool projects too. Now that Christmas is almost over, I want to really get into making some wreaths and florals using your Cricut Make It Now designs with my Cricut Explore too – the possibilities are endless. Thank you for all the freebies you post- I hope you publish a detailed book someday. Merry Christmas!
Wow! I will have to look into that felting machine. I am in love with felt right now. 😉 I am writing a book right now and it will be out next fall. I will keep you posted! 🙂
