Become a MemberAre you getting married soon or have a friend with an upcoming wedding? Here is a DIY project that is perfect for newlyweds: Mr and Mrs pillows! Use this pillow to decorate your first home together, or make this project as an adorable bridal shower gift. All you will need is a pillow and some iron-on material to make this easy homemade project.
For our pillow, we picked out a linen sham in the color peacock from West Elm. If you wanted to add an extra element of DIY to this project, you could always make your own pillow too! Pick out some fabric that will match your home decor and check out this post to make an easy zipper throw pillow cover. If you would prefer to make an envelope pillowcase with buttons rather than a zipper case, follow the tutorial in this post.
Use the SVG below if you have a cutting machine, or print the PDF on regular copy paper if you are cutting by hand. Next, choose your iron-on color. We chose a glittery gold iron-on for ours, but you can use any color that you want to incorporate into your color scheme.
After you have cut your iron-on vinyl, you are ready to attach it to your soon-to-be Mr and Mrs pillows. If you are working with a store-bought pillow, be sure to take the pillow out of the case before you apply the iron-on. Make one, or make an entire set of Mr and Mrs pillows for your living room.
Congratulations to the newlyweds and soon-to-be newlyweds out there! Check out our DIY wedding decoration projects to get ready for the big day. Or browse our entire DIY home decor section for more home goods inspiration. See you soon! ~ Lia
