Paper Cut Holiday Gift Tags
Loving the pretty paper cut tree ornaments that we shared a few weeks ago, we decided to create a similar design where you can have a space to write in your “to and from”. These are quick and easy gift toppers when you have a personal cutting machine and are a very sweet juster of love if you choose to hand cut the gift tags. Ether was, we have the cut files and templates for you to download at the end of the post. Happy Friday everyone! Pop back tomorrow when we will have our annual printable gift tags and labels hosted by our friends at World Label. Remember the set from last year? Of course we will have the printable gift wrap to match! Cheers! ~ Lia

Loved them, thanks!
Enjoy!
Thanks heaps! Made them for my mom’s gifts and she loves them.
Quick download and easy import into Design Space meant that I made them in under 20 minutes 🙂
Merry Christmas
Yay we love to hear this! 🙂
I love your paper cut holiday gift tags and others that crafts that need to be cut. I have a Cricut Explore Air and wonder how I can use your templates for cutting.
Thanks Sharon! You’ll need to download the SVG files, then log into Design Space and upload the SVG there.
Hello, may I use the SVG commercially?
Hi Jessica, thanks so much for reaching out to us but unfortunately our projects are for personal use only.
I love, love, love these gift tags. I am brand new to Cricut and wanted to cut some of these. The file is opening as a jpg and is black and won’t print. I suspect that the problem is user error and would appreciate some expertise! Based on the many wonderful comments, I am sure this can be resolved.
Hey! I got it. I figured out the SVG. Thank you!
Wonderful!! Enjoy 🙂
Lia,
Interested in making those miniature snow globes. Can I get the little domes at the craft store as well?
Yes! I bought them at Michaels. Here’s a link 🙂 http://www.michaels.com/search?q=corked%20domes&utm_source=CJ&utm_medium=4080493&utm_campaign=11846545&cm_mmc=Affiliate-_-CJ-_-4080493-_-11846545&affSource=4080493_11846545
I am in my 60’s and know very little about computers. I have 3 cricut machines that do not have to be used with any computer. Can you tell me if there is a cricut cartridge with these images?
Thank you so much, the tags are beautiful.
Kay
Unfortunately there is only once Cricut cartridge that includes our designs. If you have a Cricut Explore then you can make this project! If you have a Cricut Expression, it will only work with cartridges. Here is a link to my cartridge if you are interested 🙂 https://shop.cricut.com/en_us/cartridges-images/licensed-designs/lia-griffith/four-seasons-home-d-eacute-cor.html
LOVE the use of positive and negative space. The tag and the paper/item behind it will make endless varieties. Thanks! Can’t wait to use this. SO glad I just found you and decided to join in quickly (winter paper lanterns were the lure I couldn’t resist!).
Thank you so much for your sweet words April!! Merry Christmas to you!
Thank you for the beautiful files!
I tested them out and am using them for my gift tags this Christmas. Take a look if you like: http://kabramkrafts.blogspot.com/2015/12/christmas-tag-cutting-files.html
Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Awesome! They look great!!
I am having trouble with this SVG in Design Space (Cricut Explore). When I try to import, I get the message: Unsupported SVG items will be dropped – Clipping paths – Import anyway? When I import, there are just messy lines on the grid panel, but the tags do appear in the edit and layers panels…just not on the DS grid. The tags will cut; I just can’t see them. I cut a set today, and they are lovely. I added decorative accents to some of them for my special touch.
I am so glad you were still able to successfully cut them! I just updated the file, so now you shouldn’t have any issues 🙂 Sorry I couldn’t do this in time for Christmas, but they will be ready for next year! Happy New Year to you!
I can’t get the file to open with Silhouette Studio. Any tips? Thank you!
You will need the Silhouette Designer Edition software in order to open our files with your Silhouette 🙂
Or open it in some other program that can use vectors, export as a dxf, and then import to Silhouette!
Great tags! Thank you so much for sharing. I tried to download the svg file but it doesnt seem to be compatible with Silhouette? How can i possibly use these with my Silhouette Curio?
I’m so glad you like these gift tags!! The svg files that we include in our posts are compatible with the Cricut machine. In order to use this with the Silhouette you need the Silhouette Designer Edition software. Happy crafting!
-Lia 🙂
Thank you so much for these. I am just getting started on the Silhouette machine. So much of what I find is too cutesy for me. These are just the style I love. Thank you!
So great to hear! I read your comment to the team for a big cheer!
Dear Lia, thank you so much for creating and sharing these wonderful tags!
I am using them for my daughter First Communion favors!
GRAZIE!
Happy first communion!!
Hi Lia – I agree – gorgeous file! But is not being recognised as .svg by Silhouette Studio either, and i don’t know enough about adobe illustrator to convert – any suggestions?
The SVG file is a good one. I just tested it again. I am hearing that sometimes Silhouette has some issues. I would restart and try again.
I downloaded the pretty gift tags that have love etc. cut out. I want to cut these with my cricut explore, but I can’t bring up the images in the cricut design space. The file doesn’t appear on my downloads or anywhere. What am I doing wrong? I really want to cut these. Thank you for any help.
Sounds like a Cricut issue, I would call their customer service team.
These tags are beautiful! However, I don not own a cricut! Do you make these up to sell?
I don’t:( Maybe one of these days…. I need more hours in the day;-)
Great Tags! Thank you so much for sharing!
Enjoy and Happy Holidays:)

Thank you!!
I loved the paper ornaments and these tags are gorgeous, too! Unfortunately both links to these files don’t seem to be working – they are just the links to the jpegs. Thanks so much for all the great inspiration!
Thanks Deb. Little computer glitch but it seems to be working now. 😉
