Become a MemberOur paper eucalyptus is a pretty DIY project for a rustic wedding. The thing I love about eucalyptus is the soft green color of the leaves. It’s such a calming tone. The shape of the leaves on our paper version are long and fine and as such, this is the perfect paper wedding green. Use it as a garland along the front of your top table, as a vertical back drop to your wedding photographs or around the wedding cake as we have done here.
This is a simple paper eucalyptus to make. I printed a watercolor pattern onto my sage paper before cutting the leaves. This addition gives the foliage a more realistic look as the tones of green change slightly across the paper. Open the watercolor JPG and print this onto sage green text weight paper. From here you can either use the SVG file and cut on your cutting machine or download the PDF below and print the pattern template directly onto the paper. Cut with scissors or a craft knife then gently curl the leaves with the blunt edge of the scissors to create a little dimension to your work. You can follow the easy tutorial below. Enjoy! ~ Lia

Can you share where you purchased your sage colored paper?
Hi Susan,
We purchased this paper from Paper Source https://www.papersource.com/craft/eucalyptus-paper-8-5-x-11-35213901.html
I used leafy green vellum in this. Really nice looking!!
Ooh that sounds beautiful!
Do you have any difficulty with the paper getting greasy from the frosting? I usually keep paper separate from butter…
I haven’t experienced this problem before, usually the garland is just resting lightly upon the cake 🙂
this is really nice..I want to give it a try but usign wafer paper, edible printer and piping gel to attached leaves 🙂
Oh, how fun! Please share a picture with us!
