Become a MemberThese last few months I have been working with my friends Lauren and Nelson in preparing the design and decor for their wedding. Saturday was the big day and our creativity and hours of crafting really paid off because the event was not only stunning, but clearly personalized by the bride and groom. I just love that the groom was with us making flowers and running the Cricut Explore cutting machine. (He now wants one for himself)! I will be sharing more DIY projects and photos of the wedding next week, but today is all about the adorable kissing ball we made for the flower girl to carry down the aisle. This pretty paper flower ball was quite simple to make with 20 double blooms made in the blush pink paper and the 20 white flowers each with a sheer green leaf. You can download the pattern or SVG cutting machine file for the flowers and leaves below and follow the step-by-step tutorial to make your pretty pom. Of course this would look gorgeous in any color palette to match your wedding or special event. Enjoy! ~ Lia

My daughter and I offered to provide decorations for the wedding of one of her best childhood friend’s wedding. The young bride-to-be is one of the most incredibly beautiful people imaginable despite many hardships. She managed to find a young man who treasures her. They have a very small budget but my daughter is determined to insure that her amazing friend has a dream wedding. I’ve found so many ideas on your website to help make that happen. Providing they turn out like I hope, I’ll post a few pictures, but I just had to tell you how much your ideas and great tutorials are appreciated. Imagine having that much influence on such a meaningful day for a most deserving young lady. Thank you so very much!
Oh Shari, I’m so happy to hear this! I’m glad we have been able to share ideas and inspiration for you. Thank you for your kind, giving hearts– just what we need more of in this world!
Hi Lia – how many of each page of the template would you suggest cutting? Thanks!!
Hi! For this size ball, I used 20 double blooms, 20 single flowers, and 20 leaves.
Hi Lia
I love this! Hoping to make two for my flowergirls 🙂 Are you able to let me know what type of paper you used, the white looks slightly opaque?
Thanks
Becky
Hi Becky, it is an opaque but I cannot remember which one I used and I cannot find a sample of it. I am sure I got it at Paper-Papers.com
So does this mean you are getting married, if so congratulations!!!
Just beautiful! I am eager to see the rest of the wedding decor!
I am excited to share! Hoping to get the photographers photos too.
No you didn’t! I love it!! 🙂
It is too cute, right!?
Loving this , another stunning project , as soon as life allows will gave a go.
Thanks Lia
Lia what a wonderful surprise to find this wonderful design in my mailbox. The kissing ball is not new to me. Forty seven years ago when I married my five bridesmaids carried kissing balls instead of bouquets with roses and baby breaths. I wish I had photos but alas so much time has passed the photos have been lost with the years gone by too. Your design is just as beautiful as the flowers my bridesmaids carried on July 6, 1968.
Congratulations on your 47 year marriage! I think the kissing balls are so sweet, hoping to see more of them
Absolutely stunning lia. Xx
Thank you;-)
Your paper kissing ball is spectacularly beautiful! I would much rather have that wonderful keepsake creation than one that would wither and turn brown.
Me too;-)
I forgot the magic word…please
😉
Wow Lia!! Just beautiful and it looks easy!! Sometime I would like your advice in a lamp shade that my Mom made many years ago, but I want to add something to update it a little, but I will like to bring it home from Mexico and take a picture so I can show you if you don’t mind.
That sounds lovely!
