Papercut Bat Treat Boxes
What’s the first thing you think of when you think about Halloween? Candy has to be somewhere on the top of that list! My favorite thing about Halloween is seeing how excited the little ones can get over the occasion. But then again, maybe that is just the sugar rush that they are experiencing 😉 If you want to hand out treats to the kids this year, here are some adorable bat treat boxes that are perfect for Halloween.

Become a MemberOur bat treat boxes include papercut stars on the sides, plus a bat design at the top of the box that acts as a handle. We cut the boxes with our Cricut using text weight Stardream Onyx as our 3D Halloween bats. They would also look great with any text weight metallic paper. If you are using cardstock, make sure that it is a lighter cardstock so that the treat box is easier to fold. Use the SVG file if you have a cutting machine, or download our PDF version if you are handcutting. Rather than papercut stars, the PDF version features orange stars to fit the traditional Halloween color scheme.
After you cut your bat treat boxes, you can use them in so many ways! These are great to pass out to trick-or-treaters, or offer them as party favors at your Halloween celebration. I especially love the idea of teachers using them to hand out treats in their classrooms on Halloween! If you want more Halloween ideas, head over to our Halloween proejcts section. Thank you! Found out how to do it and they came out great!
Do any of your SVG files come with a dashed fold line option?
We do not. This is something you can change in your Silhouette software.
I love your designs but the instruction always seem to leave out steps, how do these go together? I have to hand cut these and the 2 page of the PDF file (that I used as a template) doesn’t have the slits for the construction. How on earth are you suppose to fit anything in these as well?
Frustrated
Kate
We fixed the pdf to include those 2 slots, sorry about that! Also, the template is scaled down a bit to fit on an 8.5″x11″ piece of paper, so we have added the bigger version in a PDF for 11″x17″. The updated files also have some text instructions to help you along the way!
hi i tried to cut this out and it cut the bottom out
i like it
thank you
Make sure that in Design Space you are setting those magenta colored lines to score lines. It should work then. 🙂
as always great project. thank you!
When I was young no one celebrate Halloween in Poland, when I grew up, neither in Italy, where I live. Now kids love it and you can see them around on Oct.31. Your projects from the last year were such a success. Kids love all of them – mr.paper bones, paper coffin and of course paper hunted village. Hope also this year I can surprise them with something special.
How great!
