Papercut Bunny Card
We are so excited to expand our selection of handmade cards now that we carry more cardstock colors in our shop. This papercut bunny card that Emily designed is perfect for Easter. Plus it’s so fun to assemble!
Since there are so many small and intricate pieces to this card, we recommend using a cutting machine. Otherwise you can cut all of the pieces by hand using detail scissors.

We only have one other Easter card on our site — a simple, printable version. So we are loving all of the cute, layered details that make up this papercut bunny card. Once you’ve cut all of the pieces, our tutorial will show you how to layer everything and where to add even more detail with your brush markers.
Using our template below, you can make as many cards as you’d like. And you can even write a little “Happy Easter” note on the front, or use the back if you want to write a longer message. Whoever you send this handmade card to, they will definitely be delighted!
The finished card is 5×7 to fit into an A7 envelope.

How to Make a Papercut Bunny Card
- Gather your tools and materials. Then download the template listed on the right hand side at the top of this post.
- Cut out paper pieces according to the template.
- Use roller glue to attach the grass layer to the blue layer. Glue only around the edges, avoiding the middle to leave the pocket.
- Place the top egg shaped layer.

the SVG file for this project won’t load in my cricut. Suggestions?
Try the updated SVG. It should work.
Lia What size is the finished project as I will need to have envelope to send
in the mail Thanks Patricia
Thanks for pointing that out. I just added the size into the post which is 5×7 for an A7 envelope.
It would be cool if there was a link to a Felt, Paper, Scissors shopping cart that had all the materials needed for a project pre-loaded. We could then delete the items that are not needed. It takes quite a while to load all the necessary markers, felt, thread or paper into the cart. Since I am somewhat of a newbie, I don’t have much of the supplies on hand already.
That is a great idea, Jim! I know we are working on a shop update this year, so I will pass this along to the dev team. 🙂
Check the svg that comes in. There are two huge pieces that need deleting!
All fixed!
Hi! I’m having an issue with the SVG file when I open it in my Cricut Design Space. It’s showing an error message “The uploaded SVG contained the following items that are not supported: non-embedded image elements”. If I upload it anyway, the sizing is off. If this is something weird just on my end, please let me know, but posting this in case it is a file issue.
Thanks!
All fixed. You can download the updated file. 😉
Has anyone else had a problem downloading the SVG? My Cricut Explore says it isa big file and is taking forever to load it.
All fixed. You can download the updated file. 😉
I uploaded the SVG in Design Space. I get the following message.
The uploaded SVG contained the following items that are not supported: Non embedded image elements. .. Import anyway?
The image does not appear. Please help.
All fixed. You can download the updated file. 😉
