Race Car Halloween Dog Costume
Halloween is a time for dressing up in costume! And this month, Michaels gave us the challenge to create a DIY costume for a child, adult or . . . a pet. I have been wanting to make my little Enzo (named after Enzo Ferrari) a vintage race car costume. So I took on the pet challenge! This race car dog costume is perfect for Enzo, don’t you think?

What fun I had walking around the store, imagining how parts and pieces could make up this race car dog costume. I found foam, plastic needlepoint discs, glass domes, silver elastic, and wood rings for his little goggles, or “doggles” as we like to call them. I also found teal felt for his hat, stick-on numbers, and more. My shopping cart was packed with possibilities! In true Lia form I just jumped in and made it up as I went. . . coaxing Enzo to stand for fittings. Oh what fun! Enzo did so well for his photo shoot yesterday. A true Italian model. (Enzo is an Italian Doxi and was born in Milan according to the doxi rescue team.)
