Designed with style in mind, this Felt Glasses Case comes in two enchanting color combos – a sophisticated burgundy and gray, or this festive green and gold. Additionally, both designs boast fun, geometric patterns made from HTV. However, these embellishments are completely optional — we think this case would look just as perfect in a solid color as well.
We choose two different felt colors, cut them according to the template, and iron them together with fusible web. Once cool, pick a matching embroidery floss and stitch the top edges, then around the side and bottom to create a pouch.
This gift is perfect for a dear friend who’s always looking for a place to slip their readers or for anyone in need of a cool place to keep a cool pair of shades. Now just imagine the delight on their faces when they unwrap this custom-made gift, handcrafted just for them. Not only is this Felt Glasses Case a practical accessory; it’s also a heartfelt gesture, a token of love for someone special.

I have made one of the eye glass cases and used cricut foil and it came out perfectly. Today I’m using your HTV. I can’t get the HT V to stick to the felt. I’m using easy press at 280 degrees for 30 se. with cool peal. What setting are you recommending?
I recommend 360 or the highest. Also, use a cloth over your plastic. You really want it to fuse in fully.
I can’t wait to make this tomorrow. Thank you Lia. Your eye for colour is second to none. I see that correct colour choices make all the difference in the world. Might you ever consider doing a class on colour / matching?
That is a great idea! I love color and I feel it is something I could teach a class on.
I really am having difficulty making this item. The attach item worked just fine for the HTV you suggested. The SVG and PDF patterns in this post are for the metallic case. Doesn’t work for the felt eye glass case in your tutorial. So I tried the leather eye glass case pattern but that one puts holes all around the pattern for the stitching.?? I guess this is not my week?? Thanks, for all your assistance.
Oh dear!!! Let me double check the files. We have had strange gremlins on our site. lol
I switched the SVG so it is now correct. And will add the PDF in a bit.
The SVG for the HTV looks shaped like the glass case it self but when you tell cricut to make it. The HTV design is 12 “ wide and the design is every which way.How docyou work around this? Thanks.
You will need to attach all of the layers so they do not move. Sometimes this happens. Oh, Cricut. . . lol
Perfect gift for my mom! I’m not seeing the svg for the vinyl patterns. Will it be uploaded? Only seeing the metallic case svg. Thanks!
It looks like they somehow were deleted, but I just added them back. 🙂
