Organize your life this new year with a fun and functional DIY — a simple-to-craft vinyl chalkboard calendar. This calendar is a great alternative to wasting paper and also makes for an entertaining home decoration. Your kids will especially love adding in their important dates. It’s good fun for the whole family! We’ve created both an SVG and PDF version for you to choose from. If you have access to a personal cutting machine, download the SVG version. If you will be cutting with scissors, work with the PDF. We used the 12×12 cutting mat to make our calendar, but if you want yours to be bigger, you can use the 12×24 size. For our calendar, we used Cricut’s chalkboard vinyl, which we’d highly recommend. Use this in tandem with good old-fashioned chalk and you won’t be disappointed!

Any tips on how to size this up for a larger 12×24 mat? I don’t see an option to ungroup the SVG image in order for me to make the individual pieces bigger. Grouped, they are at their max width even for the larger mat. Thanks in advance.
Sorry about that! I edited the SVG so you can size up to fit a 12×24 mat.
Excellent — Thanks!!
do the chalk markers erase well on the vinyl? thanks!
I actually haven’t tried the chalk markers! We use regular chalk or soapstone. You might be able to find reviews on Cricut’s site or Amazon about the vinyl.
