As winter is approaching and it is getting cooler outside, I love to host intimate gatherings at my home. This year I decided to embrace the winter season with this Frozen themed party. We don’t get a lot of snow here in Portland so I thought it would be fun to create a white wonderland indoors. I decided to set the mood to revolve around the magical ice queen whose powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter without making it feel like you are in the middle of a cartoon. After all who says that I am too old to dream of being a princess. I set out to make the party decor equally as beautiful and elegant for children and for grown-ups. For these winter wonderland party decorations, I went shopping on Cricut’s Design Space for great snowflakes patterns. I chose two snowflakes and cut them with my Cricut Explore into different sizes using metallic colored paper in white, silver and icy blue. The table was set with my grandma’s vintage blue glass dishes on top of pretty teal napkins draping over the table. The center of the table was lined with wood slices and small vases of evergreen and rosemary trimmings to set the wooded look. We hung snowflakes in various lengths from our chandelier to create a snowing effect, and used larger snowflakes for place-mats. Then we decorated the water cups using a sliced snowflake. For napkin rings we tied crisp white linens with a snowflake on a sliver ribbon, and used smaller snowflakes as cupcake topper and to decorate the pine tree decorations. In the center of the table we displayed a hot cocoa bar set on top of the wood slices adding lots of sparkly metallic paper snowflakes. Now I am waiting for the guest to arrive and enjoy this gorgeous Frozen themed brunch, starting with a cup of hot cocoa. Cheers! ~ Lia

May I ask where you got the wooden tree cutouts?
Hi Amber, I got them a few years ago and actually don’t remember where. I might have to make my own version for next year. Stay tuned:)

What a perfect table setting! Everything looks so beautiful. I’m in love with those snowflakess hanging above, any suggestion for replacement for those of us without an electric cutter?
Hi Beata, thank you I had so much fun setting the scene for my party. I used a Cricut pattern for snowflakes but you might try these 3D snowflakes I made last year. https://liagriffith.com/making-3-d-paper-snowflakes/
