Add a Little Graphic Print to Your Oven Mitts
We created this geometric pattern as part of the Design Space Star competition with the intention that it could be used on lots of different products in our kitchen restyle. We picked up these gorgeous oven mitts at Crate & Barrel, the edge of which is ideal for adding your own little stamp of creativity. The detail in the pattern lends itself to some intricate cutting so the Cricut Explore is the perfect machine for this project.
This pattern is very versatile so have some fun planning your arrangement before cutting. Once you have sized and cut your pattern into your iron on transfer paper, pick away at the pieces you don’t need using your weeder or scraping tool.
Carefully lay out your design on the mitts and set your iron to its hottest temperature. Press your design for 6-8 minutes – we found that it took longer than anticipated, so be patient. A good indicator that it’s ready is when the plastic begins to wrinkle slightly at the edges. Peel back the plastic to reveal your design then you’re all set!
Take care of your mitts by washing on a cold, delicate setting and allow it to dry naturally. You can find the svg file in Design Space Star by clicking here.

Hi Sharon! I’m sorry, this isn’t a free project– please let me know where you saw it listed as a freebie so we can change that!
