You may remember seeing this framed chalkboard show up as a prop in posts from time to time. I made it over a year ago using a thrift store frame that I painted teal and filling the space with a chalkboard paint covered piece of foam board. At the time I used the foam board because it was handy and fast and did the job in making this prop for a shoot. Now months later, I am realizing how handy the chalkboard and pin board combo can be. My new friend and neighbor Gracie agreed! We used the chalkboard to shoot her first-day-back-to-school photo and then had fun decorating it how she might use it for her bedroom. If you do not have a framed chalkboard yet, give this version a try. The good thing is you can always replace the foam board then ever you need.
