Teacher_Thank_You_CardsIt’s not long until Teacher Appreciation Day on May 5th. It’s an opportunity to treat the educators in our lives – or our children’s lives! Here at Lia Griffith HQ it’s an opportunity for us to make, make, make and we always have fun coming up with fresh, new ideas for the Teachers. I have already shared my round-up of the best DIY gifts for teachers from previous posts so pop back there for inspiration, patterns and tutorials. The collection includes fab little teacher appreciation gift tags, a homemade body scrub, a no-sew felt flower brooch and a beautiful paint dipped salad set amongst others!

Today I am sharing this adorable Thank You card and petal card that can be easily downloaded and printed at home. Included in the PDF is the template for the stripe envelope liner that will sit comfortably in an A7 envelope. The fruity design includes a couple of apples for the teacher – a play on that old tradition. The inside of the card is blank for your own message. If your little ones aren’t quite writing yet, maybe have them use little letter stamps to print their name inside? Or from the really tiny ones, maybe a little hand print is all it needs? If you are giving a gift card to your teacher, this petal card is the perfect holder. Just print page 3 of the PDF file below onto one side of your cardstock, turn it over and print page 4 onto the back then trim. It is the perfect size for a gift card as a hand written note. Both of these are ready for you to download and print using the button below. However you and your children chose to say thanks on Teacher Appreciation day, make it handmade and enjoy! ~ Lia
