Become a MemberWe have a very exciting reveal coming up in the next few weeks. Last month we were asked by Hayneedle to create a children’s bedroom using furniture and accessories from their online store. And we have designed the cutest camping themed bedroom for Anna’s son Lucas. I can’t wait to share it all with you! Up first are these oh-so-cute woodland throw pillows that you can sew together at home.
Both of these charming bed friends were illustrated by our talented designer Krista. You can purchase the pre-printed fabric faces of the owl and the fox via my shop on Spoonflower.
Cozy Woodland Creatures
To craft these adorable woodland throw pillows, head to Spoonflower for our fox design and owl design. You’ll only need to order one fat quarter of heavy cotton twill fabric and it will come to you ready to trim and sew.
Using fabric scissors, cut out the design along the solid line — our design allows for a 3/4-inch seam allowance. Face the back and front of the design toward one another and sew around the edge, leaving the bottom part of the face open so that you can easily fill the pillow. Turn it right side out and fill the pillow with stuffing, making sure you push plenty into the ears. Using a dowel or other long tool can be useful here!
Hand-stitch the opening together and you have yourself the cutest woodland throw pillows! You can find more DIY projects for our camping-themed children’s bedroom here on our site. Or check out all of our kid’s decor ideas.

Hello! Are these still available? I clicked the link to Spoonflower and it is saying it doesn’t exist. I would really love to make these for my daughter!
That is odd. I will double-check the links because I do see them on Spoonflower. Here they are until I can troubleshoot: https://www.spoonflower.com/en/fabric/4394252-fox-pillow-by-liagriffith https://www.spoonflower.com/en/fabric/4394294-owl-pillow-by-liagriffith
Are these pillow patterns still available?
Yes, there’s a link in the post to our Spoonflower shop.
Hi. Is your owl pattern still available on Spoonflower? I only saw the fox. Would love to get both. They are so cute. Thanks!
Thank you for letting me know! Somehow it went inactive, but it’s back up now and ready for purchase 🙂
They are so cute! Would it be ok to make them to sell at a local craft show??
Unfortunately, I have a copyright over my designs and they are for personal use only, so you will not be able to sell any of my designs.
Do I have pick a favorite? Hope not as I love both pillows so much, too darned cute. Trying to think who I could make these for. No little grandkids anymore, they’re all growing up. Used to make lots of cute things for grandkids when little. Thanks for sharing this, so cute. Will be thinking of who I could make both pillows for. Happy weekend
It is hard to pick a favorite:-) Hope you find someone to make these for.
