Become a MemberFinding a clever way to display these fun paper feathers is a natural progression for me. They are great as gift toppers and gift tags, but I also love the idea of using them to create DIY wall hangings and art pieces. Thus, this DIY wreath made from paper feathers was born! Begin by using my signature paper feather template linked below to cut your feathers. You can download the PDF template if you are cutting by hand, or the SVG cut file if you have a cutting machine. I trimmed 36 feathers and carefully glued them on this 12″ foam wreath. I picked up the foam base at the dollar store, but you should also be able to find one at any local craft store. I went with this blue and green color scheme to mix in well with my white and teal office. I am loving the mix. Choose your own fun colors to go with whatever color scheme you have going in your home or office decor. Feel free to use this gold version of my paper feather DIY wreath for further inspiration!
Another great idea for turning these simple paper feathers into a beautiful work of art is by displaying them in a shadow box frame. Hop over to this post to see how to make your own wall hanging with these little paper trinkets, or browse the site to see all my feather projects! Of course, I love seeing all of your crafting creations, so be sure to share them with my by tagging @liagriffith in your Instagram photos or using the hashtag #MadewithLia. Enjoy! ~ Lia

I have made your lovely feathers a number of times. I was wondering if it is possible for me to add score lines in Design Space or if it isn’t possible to edit your designs.
Thank you for all your inspiring work!
Hi Barbara! Design Space will not let you add a custom curved line. I quickly updated the SVG and added these to the file. Let me know if that works for you.
Hallo Jouw veren zijn super en zeer mooi en met Pasen in zicht zijn ze welkom.
Hartelijk bedankt dat ik mee genieten mocht van Uw mooie prestatie.
Thank you so much!! I hope you have a wonderful Easter!
Just want to leave a little “thank you.” It is so kind of you to share your ideas, & doubly kind of you to share your template. ❥
You are so sweet, you just made my day!!! Thank you!

Where on earth do you find such beautifully colored paper? Your projects are always done in such fantastic hues!
Thanks Kristyn! I do have a thing for color. Not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing, but it is a thing. haha. I picked up these papers at a craft supply store. They are quite a mix of weight and texture.
These paper feathers are so pretty! Great idea; will try making them soon, Thanks!!
So happy you like them!
I found your site through a link on Jot magazine’s site. What a wonderfully creative blog, lia. I have found so many delightful things I want to make! Now! Such a lot of inspiration. I have already downloaded the feather template… Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for letting me know I was in Jot. I will have to go find the link now. 🙂 So happy to have you here and getting creative with me!
I had to come over to see how you put the feather wreath together. This is so gorgeous, the colors you use are perfect, happen to be some of my very favorites all the time, let alone in summer.
It will take me awhile to cut out 36 feathers I think you said you made but it’ll be worth it. Thanks so much for sharing the templates for the feathers, so helpful and time saving. I’ll have to look thru my paper stash to see what I have to start with. I do have a thesaurus I can use for part of the feathers, a thrift store buy for 50 cents.
Looks like you’re a very talented gal and I love your blog, your projects.
Found you thru HomeforNow and found her thru Under the table and dreaming Sunday showcase party. Talk about a very lucky find in both of your blogs. You can be sure I’ll be back many times to visit your blog and I’ve subscribed.
Thanks! I will have to go check out HomeForNow too. So happy your found both of us for your creative inspiration. 🙂
love this so much! thanks for the inspiration!
You are so welcome Jaime!
That looks beautiful! And extra kudos for having the patience to cut all those out.
Believe it or not they were less work than my paper flowers. 🙂

This is gorgeous Lia. Thanks for the inspiration… I can see one of these as a welcome sign for my daughter’s upcoming night owl birthday party.
That would be so adorable! Share photos. 🙂
The wreath goes wonderfully with your color scheme! You are so creative! Love your “Thought for today”….if only we took a minute out of our busy days to realize how true this is!
