Become a MemberWe know it’s not quite fall yet. But we like to plan ahead! In the last week or so, we’ve started to focus on fall-inspired colors and prints, cozy textures, and upcoming holidays. One simple way to get ready for the next season is to swap out your home decor. As usual, we have lots of DIY ideas to share with you…and here’s one of them! This papercut oak leaf framed art looks so gorgeous on my mantle. And it’s also really easy to make. Scroll down to see which craft tools and materials you’ll need to make this papercut oak leaf framed art.
The Circle of Leaf
Thanks to our friends at PaperPapers, we’re giving you these leaf patterns for FREE. Just gather the tools and materials you see here. Then download the SVG file or printable PDF below. We recommend using a cutting machine if you have one; otherwise, you can cut these leaves with scissors. Once you’ve got everything ready, head on over to PaperPapers’ blog to see how you can make your own papercut oak leaf framed art.
We used a Ribba frame from IKEA and spray painted it matte grey to match the paper. We wanted to match the paper and frame to create a tone-on-tone effect. But you can use any color for the background paper and the frame. You can also use whatever color text weight paper you want! We just think these grey and gold colors go really well together and are perfect for fall. This combination also looks great against neutral colors, like grey, white, black, or brown. As you can see below, we’ve styled it on a grey mantle against a grey concrete wall as well as on a white mantle against a white and black print.
