Extra-Fine Gold Crepe Paper Anemone (Starter Pattern) Video Steps
Extra-Fine Gold Crepe Paper Anemone (Starter Pattern) Video Steps
Go for the Gold
As you may know, I love to make anemone flowers! I’ve crafted quite a few versions of black and white anemones, added colorful anemones to different types of projects, like a wreath, and have also made them using a variety of materials, including felt. Since Christmas is coming up, I thought it would be fun to make some gold crepe paper anemones with a copper center using my extra-fine crepe paper.
While we do have this paper in our online shop, our new packs include the starter pattern to make this gold anemone flower. Or, if you’re a member, and you have some crepe paper on hand already, you can just download the pattern at the end of this post. We love the look of this gold paper, but you can always use a different color for your anemones, of course!
These gold crepe paper anemones would make such gorgeous holiday décor, don't you think? You can craft them now for Christmas and include them in your New Year's Eve party décor, too. Really, these flowers would look beautiful in your home at any time of the year, though!
Once you've gathered your tools and materials, you can watch the video tutorial below to see how I create these gold crepe paper anemones. If you have any questions while crafting your flowers–or any feedback on the video—let me know! We are always here to help and make crafting paper flowers easier for you.

Back to the TopHi, I have bought the mixed pack of crepe paper and was hoping to make these anemone flowers but the video won’t play. I can see the very short video but I would prefer the 30min video tutorial.
Don’t think the problem is my end.
Please would you check this or perhaps send me a link to the working video. Thanks
I will get on and make my pinecones until I hear back!!!
Liz
Hello Elizabeth. The 2-minute video for this flower is the full tutorial. It is a starter pattern for the paper pack and shows all the steps needed to assemble this flower. We have many other Anemone flowers on our site (many with videos) that you could use instead of this one. Here are a few to choose from. https://liagriffith.com/search/?offset=0&orderby=relevance&order=desc&per_page=12&search=anemone&relation=and&tax-category=15021%2C2298
I am a beginner and having trouble using my Cricut air 2 cutting crepe paper. Do you have any tips? What type of mat do you use and blade? I just got my machine and found you. I am hooked. I just want to make flowers. Carena
Hi Carena,
We have not cut Crepe using the Cricut air 2, we use the Cricut Maker with the rotary blade using the standard grip mat.
I made these this evening and I just love them. Thanks Lia and your team for helping me experience such joy that comes from making something so beautiful.
