Rainy Day Vintage Stamp Embroidery
Our rainy day embroidered felt stamp is inspired by vintage postage stamps and all the rain we see this time of year. This is a great project for beginners, and our tutorial will show you how simple it is to stitch. Once completed, it becomes a cute, little patch that you can add to a jacket, hat, or bag.

Though the design of this rainy day embroidered felt stamp looks detailed, our template (along with the fabric solvy stabilizer) makes it an easy DIY craft. So if you’re new to embroidery, don’t stress! Just follow our tutorial and be sure to reach out if you have questions.
As you can see in our styled photos, Emily made two stamps. One with rain underneath (or behind) the umbrella and one without. Using our pattern, you can add as many raindrops as you’d like to your stamp. And of course you can always use whatever felt and floss you prefer.
Skill level: Beginner
Stitches used: Straight, back, satin, and stem stitch. Need more guidance on these stitches? Check out our free embroidery guide.
