Pawsome Blossom

Native to southwest Australia, these pretty stems grow in a variety of colors. When in bloom,  they open to resemble the forearm of a kangaroo — hence the name. The fuzzy flowers and branch-like stems of the Kangaroo Paw will definitely make an interesting addition to your summer floral arrangement. Place it alone in a bud vase, or pair it with these Frosted Paper Pincushion Proteas and Eucalyptus leaves for a tropical show-stopper.

This is a great project for our beginner to intermediate crafters. Forming the tube-like shape of the flowers and buds can be a bit tricky for those new to flower felt craft, but using a wooden skewer or chopstick should be a great help. How did you style your Kangaroo Paw? Be sure to send us photos in our crafters community or share on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia.

Tip: Use a thicker wooden skewer or chopstick to help form the flower’s tubular shape.
