VIDEO: Layered Felt Owl Patches
Owlfully Cute
These Layered Felt Owl Patches are the third project in the series, and we couldn't be more excited to share them with you. We have a few owl projects on the website, like this cute owl stuffie and these adorable pinecone owls, but we're always happy to add more to our parliament!
When you're ready to begin, gather your tools and materials. Watch the video workshop on YouTube. We would consider this a great craft for a beginner looking for a bit of a challenge or a confident intermediate crafter looking for something fun to whip up.

We've created three cute owl designs for you in this project. Color-wise, we wanted to keep things simple by really embracing the earthy browns and tans of the season. Choosing a neutral palette for our wool blend felt gives these owls such a retro look, and I love their simple hand-sewn look.
When you're finished with your layered felt owl patches, you can use them in a few different ways. Sew these to the back of your favorite jeans or onto a tote for a fun fall look. Loop them onto your keys so you always know which ones are yours, or hang them on your holiday tree in lieu of a partridge! Adorable and versatile? Yes, please!
Where did your three little birds end up? Please share your vision by uploading your pics to our crafters' community or by posting on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia.

Back to the TopHi, I’m getting an error message that circuit design space can’t use the SVG due to “clipping paths”. Is there a solution for this? Thanks!
I think we fixed this. Give it a try now.
You did great Emily!! Love watching your embroidery videos and the beautiful things you create.
I will pass this onto her! I am home making my owl this weekend.
I LOVE these owls! They are adorable and I can’t wait to make a bunch. It’s always relaxing to me to watch Emily embroider and I really enjoyed the video. Well done!
I will share this with her! I am making one right now. 🙂
Oh my goodness – so cute!!! I missed the live, but did see the replay. Great instruction video – I can’t wait to make these. I would also love to see some Christmas ornaments done like this – maybe a snowman, cardinal etc. Thank you for such a fun project!!
These would make adorable Christmas ornaments. I have a white owl sitting here to make. . . so excited!!
Are there supposed to be svg files included in this tutorial….everything is coming up only in pdf files.
We have corrected the downloads and they now include the SVG.
