Become a MemberIt is that time of year, after the busy holidays for our studio to get organized so we can stay as creative as possible. A few months ago we shared our new office space as I brought three others onto my team and needed to move the craft space and add desks and work spaces. It is always a trick to keep the office tidy and functioning and have the space to store materials and create. Believe me, we can make a royal mess. Since we work with our large stash of paper everyday, it was most important to keep all of the paper both in sight and in order of color. We use both 12×12 and letter sized paper and these paper shelves that we found at Michaels were the perfect solution. As you can see from the new photos here, we have added another shelf and just ordered two more. To add to ease of keeping all of our papers in place, we added chalkboard tags inside of the shelves where we can write the paper colors or types. For those of us that just need a place to store our craft materials and organize our scrapbook paper, paint, markers and yarn, you must check out these nifty craft storage systems.
For this Michaels Makers post we were also asked to share a photo of a project we had been thinking to do for a white and did not have time to finish. My project is to complete a set of spring ranunculus flowers where I can share the Ranunculus SVG with you. Here is what I created. Hope you are inspired to both organize and create! ~ Lia

I’ve been searching through the archives to see if you have any tips for storing the paper flower pattern cut-outs for those that don’t have a Cricut maker. I’ve cut out a bunch of flowers from your crepe paper book but now I’m wondering how to store them for future use. Any tips or tricks?
Hello Valerie! I actually show my version of this in the crepe paper flower master class. If you have not registered for that, it starts again in February. I like to use glassine bags and then add labels to the bag for each flower. I then store them upright in a container that fits the bags and makes it easy for me to flip through and find my needed template.
Every weekend i used to pay a quick visit this
web page, as i want enjoyment, since this this website conations really pleasant funny data
too.
Thank you:-)
Love these paper storage shelves! Unfortunately, when I click on the link for the shelves it says No Results Found. Does Michael’s no longer carry these shelves?
I hope they do, I saw them there a couple of months ago but I don’t keep up to date with their inventory.
Hello, I live in Denmark and love your paper flowers. Can you tell what your 2 sided papers called (manufacturing) and the thickness. I have trouble finding the right ones. You write they have different colors on the sides.
Ruth
Hi, I use mostly metallic text weight paper for making flowers. I buy mine from a company called Paper-Papers.com Hope you can find them in Denmark.
Creative paper flower decor, looks like you’ve got the magic in your hands.
Thank you:)
What I would give to have all that paper!! I don’t think I’d ever leave the “office” 🙂
Funny you say that. I hardly ever leave:)
I love those bins from Michaels. I have several and could use more. I also noticed your wood pencils. I have a similar set I brought back from Ecuador. I might have to display mine…they look nice on te table.
I love those wood pencils, they are so pretty:) Use them often for styling;-)
The updated file is working! Thanks so much!
Great!!
Bonjour,
vous avez fait un zip de l’allias et non pas du fichier original.
Donc nous ne pouvons pas l’ouvrir
cordialement
It should be fixed now.
Идеальная Красота!
Thank you:)
Your work space is lovely Lia, great idea to use the chalkboard for your labeling! I am having the same issue as Debi in regards to the ranunculus file, the zip file opens but then I am directed to an empty page after the file is unzipped.
Sorry, it should be fixed now:)
Wahou ça fait rêver un tel endroit! Dommage que mes pelotes de laine soient moins disciplinées 😉
🙂
Que precioso espacio de oficinas. Felicitaciones y gracias por compartirnos esas maravillosas ideas.
🙂
Can’t wait to try this, so beautiful I just love all your flowers!
Thank you:)
So serene – those stacked papers look like a paper crafters dream rainbow.
I can’t stop looking at it.
Sigh!
It is this paper crafter’s dream;-)
Swoon….me want!
🙂
Love that feather wreath! Please tell me that you made it and that there is a pattern!
But of course;-) https://liagriffith.com/making-a-wreath-from-paper-feathers/
I downloaded the ranunculus SVG file, but it appears to be empty. I tried it both in IE and Inkscape, and no image shows up. Thanks!
Hmmm.. can you try Chrome. It works for me so not sure why you cannot see it.
