They look beautiful, but orchids need to be freed up from those nasty cramped plastic pots. The same affect can be achieved using potting bark and the orchids will grow and thrive. It’s also a lot fun to watch the roots take hold and grow all over the place in their pots.

Hey Lia! Great video! Never thought of using heavy weight paper to stabilize the orchid. Pure genius. No more adding more dirt, bags and bags of moss, large rocks, etc. i know, I should be ashamed, but I was terrified of orchids until six years ago. I can find the moss and the small stones, but where do you buy the wonderful winding vines/branches. They are what make such a huge difference! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!
Hi Rosemary! The curly willow is available at some floral shops. The other branches were picked up off of the ground. Love to recycle! You can find pretty twigs in your garden or at the park sometimes.
