Book Page Paper Rose Video Workshop
Books in Bloom
There’s nothing like kicking off a crafty new year with a beloved classic — and this Book Page Paper Rose does exactly that. A longtime favorite from my early design days, this newly updated version brings fresh life to a project I first created over 14 years ago! This new design simplifies the process, making it easier than ever to create this stunning paper flower, and we can’t wait to make it right along with you! Join Emily and me live on Friday, January 9 at noon PT for a cozy Crafternoon as we settle into January with creative connection and a touch of literary romance.

During our live video workshop, we’ll guide you through creating this Book Page Paper Rose step by step. While the design is a cherished throwback, we’ve made a few tweaks to make it accessible for all makers. Our relaxed, interactive workshop is the perfect way to get into the swing of the new year, craft alongside our community, and enjoy a project that speaks to both the heart and the mind.
This Book Page Paper Rose is a little love letter to all our crafty bookworms — we know you're going to love this project! You can craft it from recycled book pages as a way to repurpose something already well-loved, or use lightweight printer paper and the included printable design for a softer, more refined finish. As a special touch, the printable features text from Emily’s favorite passage of Pride and Prejudice, adding a quiet layer of romance that feels especially sweet as Valentine’s Day approaches.
Ultimately, this project strikes a beautiful balance between elegant and approachable. It’s creative without being complicated, sentimental without being fussy — and exactly the kind of craft to keep your creativity warm while the world outside is still dark and cold.
When your Bookpage Paper Rose is complete, there are so many lovely ways to share it. Display your finished flower on its own, tuck it into a bouquet, or gift it to someone who loves handmade details and classic literature. But however you choose to gift it or style it — don’t forget to tag us using #MadeWithLia. Happy crafting, and we’ll see you soon!

Thank you!
So wonderfull. I forgot that way to make a beautiful rose.
Thank you !
Greetings from Germany and a Happy New Year 💚
You are welcome!
I am unable to download zip files. Can you offer your downloads in a different way?
Hi Nina! Look in your computer’s downloads folder. The zipped folder should be there unless you have a download blocker on your computer.
I love this! Reminds me of some early flowers I made from scrapbook paper that had printed text as the pattern. Unfortunately, I can’t see the printable text in the download. The PDF and SVG files only contain a cream-colored rose cutout design with no text.
You are right! Missed that part, but it should be in the download folder now. 🙂
Happy New Year!
Thanks so much! Happy new year!!
Happy New Year to you, too!
