How to Make a Braided Rope Wreath
- Gather the craft tools and materials listed above for this wreath.
- Cut six pieces of cotton rope four feet in length each.
- Use a rubber band to hold one end of the ropes together. Section into three groups of two ropes each; then braid the three groups together.
- Glue the braid to the gold hoop using hot glue; then glue over the hoop onto the rope in a zigzag pattern for a stronger hold.

Dear Lia,
Do you feel that using wooden beads with holes drilled thru the wooden ball detracts from the wreath? It is my opinion that it does not, but I have heard others say the hole does not look good.
Your thoughts?
Thank you in advance.
Hello Elizabeth! It is all your preference. You can make the wreath without or with. We have a version of both and I love both looks. 😉
Which kind of knot are you using to crate this beautiful piece ? 💞💞
It is a simple braid. You can see some of the steps in the tutorial.
Hello! Do you have a math formula for the braided rope if you use a bigger hoop? This is very pretty, but want to put my own spin on it with tropical style flowers made of crepe.
Lol! I am laughing because MATH is not my jam. I am a good guesser. 😉
These are so gorgeous.
I love this idea for a wreath!
It is one of my favorites!
