Adorable Valentine Candy Huggers

I am very excited to announce that I am making another television appearance this morning on Good Things Utah over in Salt Lake City! I’ll be showing viewers some of our most popular Valentine’s Day DIY projects including our super-successful candy huggers. Fans of this well-loved Valentines project will be pleased to see that we have created a larger version, so you can enjoy twice the cute! Use them in a variety of ways from sticking them to wrapped candy bars, using as gift tags or as super-sized Valentine candy huggers.
I’ll also be sharing simple Valentine’s projects to make at home, like little personalized tea bags for teachers or friends. Fill a fabric pouch with fresh camomile flowers or mint for a special Valentine’s brew. Add a tiny tag using colored card stock and a heart shaped hole punch and you’ve got the perfect handmade Valentine’s gift.

Love this — made a batch yesterday to use as an advent / bouquet mash up for my granddaughter — 14 candies to count down from Feb 1 to the 14th — now I’m scouring your site for some greenery to fill it out. Thanks for all the inspiration!
What a great idea Janice!!
Can I purchase just a download? I went to your etsy shop but it wasn’t available. Thank you.
Hi there! Sorry we don’t have the capability to sell individual downloads. But you can always sign up for a membership and cancel anytime. It’s less expensive that way anyway 🙂
It appears as though the SVG files for both the original size Valentine’s Candy Huggers and the new bigger size are identical. Are we just supposed to manually increase the size on Design Space? A bit confused here. Thanks!
Yes, you can make the huggers any size you’d like 🙂
These are so cute! I have made all your different Hugger sets for my grand daughters and they just love them!
Yay I’m so glad to hear it! We think they’re pretty cute 🙂
So, I can’t get this SVG file to work with my Cricut Design Space. CDS says the file is an unsupported ART5 file. I bought your monthly membership just so I could get this cut file. Now my Valentine plans are ruined. And if this continues to happen with other cut files on the Lia Griffith website I just wasted my money.
We haven’t received any complaints about this file, and I double checked myself to make sure it works just fine. Did you unzip the folder and upload the .SVG file to design space? Sometimes our users will attempt to upload the zipped folder that downloads without realizing you have to unzip first. Please email our customer service at hello@liagriffith.com if you still have trouble.
We are using these as my 5yo valentine to the class. Making 26 but with the Cricut it should be easy 🙂 She can write her message on each pink heart and we will ‘hug’ the arms around it.
Are there any instructions to how to cut the face?
thanks
If you aren’t cutting them with a cutting machine, I do not recommend cutting out the faces by hand unless you are very good with an x-acto blade! I suggest printing out the PDF and then cutting around just the body.
todo es muy hermoso
Can I just buy a Dow!nload instead of being a member? I just want the valentine prints. Thanks
You can find the PDF and SVG versions of the original candy huggers in my Etsy shop 🙂 https://www.etsy.com/shop/LiaGriffith?ref=hdr_shop_menu
