Though these Cardstock Sweet Pink Dahlias are an advanced-level project, we highly encourage you to give them a try, no matter where you are on your crafting journey. Our step-by-step video tutorial walks you through the process from start to finish, so you won't be traveling alone.
First, you’ll cut your cardstock pieces using a cutting machine or detail scissors. Then, with the help of shaping tools, blending brushes, and carefully layered petals, each bloom opens into something truly special. Additionally, soft pastel shading and gentle curling techniques help create the realistic texture that gives these flowers their signature fullness.
While we chose a soft, sweet pink palette for this version, real dahlias bloom in nearly every color imaginable. So, if pink isn’t for you, no worries! Feel free to experiment with your own favorite shades and create something that feels unique to you.
Historically, dahlias symbolize creativity, inner strength, and lasting kindness. Sweet pink varieties, in particular, are often associated with grace, joy, and gentle affection, which makes this flower feel especially fitting for summer arrangements and thoughtful handmade gifts. When finished, these blooms look absolutely stunning displayed in a bouquet, tucked into seasonal decor, or styled on their own as statement stems.
So, whether you’re adding to your paper garden or simply looking for your next creative challenge, this Cardstock Sweet Pink Dahlia Video Tutorial is ready to bloom right alongside you. When your flowers are all finished, share them with us in the crafters’ community and on social using #MadeWithLia.

Back to the TopThe grid was a much clearer layout. With this layout it is really not clear which are items the monthly collection links.
The only items I have access to on the main page are projects I had previously downloaded before this month and remaining say they count against my 5 extra downloads for the month.
Hi Tara, all of the items in the first 4 rows (minus the master class flower) are part of the monthly collection. That includes everything above the green bar with the book link. Hope that helps.
Can you direct me to the June monthly collection? Because it is not on the main page and after searching for some time, I cannot find any of June’s projects.
Hi Tara. The main page is now the collection. We decided to bring it all into the first page you land in and feature the workshops at the top of the page rather than the grid.
Is the video out yet?
Yes! Just refresh the page, and it will be there for you. 🙂
These are so pretty. This will be my first project this month. Oh and did you change the format on your website. I didn’t see the monthly collection?
The monthly collection is now on the main page. 🙂
I am still not seeing the monthly collection on the main page. I am a monthly member but the only thing I can download are the 4flower tutorials. If I click on the felt or paper tutorials is tries to make me use 1 of my 5 extra downloads. Are just the 4 flower tutorials all that’s available to monthly subscribers this month? Sorry, I am a new subscriber.
Hello Mandi. The monthly collection is all on the main page here, rather than a second page. Monthly members have access to everything in the first four horizontal columns with the exception of the master class flowers.
