To bring these Treasure Treat Boxes to life, we recommend using a cutting machine for precision — though steady hands and patience will also do the trick! We’ve designed this project to be super versatile so you can use it for different occasions. For example, our download includes an alternate design without the heart detail, perfect for pirate-themed parties or playful treasure hunts.
A treasure chest always brings to mind swashbuckling adventure and the lure of hidden riches. Our Cardstock Treasure Treat Boxes capture this same sense of wonder on a smaller, more personal scale. Fill them with candies, love notes, or small trinkets to create a heartfelt gift or unique party favor.
Here's a tip: when crafting your treat boxes be sure to score your folds before assembling. We used 12x12 cardstock for our box, and a curling tool to ensure sharp, clean edges. For an added touch, consider embellishing your box with metallic markers or tiny adhesive gems — a nod to the glittering treasures it’s meant to hold.
Once your Cardstock Treasure Treat Box is complete, use them as Valentine’s Day gifts, party decorations, or even as part of a scavenger hunt. Display them on a dessert table or tuck them into a gift basket for an extra-special touch. When you’ve got it figured out, don’t forget to tag us on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia and join our crafters’ community to inspire others.

The cricut score layer on this file (& cherry blossom box) seem to have an issue with not being grouped and thus not overlapping where the folds should be; I followed the instructions on other post but to no avail. Thanks in advance!
We are actually filming a short instructional video for this soon! But to help you out today you will need to change the group of lines that needs to be scored from basic cut to score in the drop down menu. Then select both the grouped score lines and the box to be cut and select attach (looks like a small paper clip at the bottom right) to hold everything in place.
I found it. Will be sent by external email
Yay! Excited to see it.
just sent to hello@liaxxx
Awesome! I will ask Emily to forward to me.
some years ago I sewed such a box (blue silk with black embroidery) and added a handle to used as an evening bag. I’ll have a search on my computer, maybe a photograph exists on an older external drive
I hope you still have that bag! Sounds beautiful.
