I am loving these color block macrame coasters that Meagan designed for our January collection. Our theme for the month is surprise and delight, and I happen to think these DIY coasters are very delightful! Not only are they functional, but they also make really cute home decor.

This is a great intermediate macrame project, so if you’re more of a beginner, you may want to check our beginner macrame projects first. Otherwise scroll on down for the tutorial!

Let’s make a coast to the new year

We are calling 2021 the year of creativity. And what better way to ring in the new year than by trying something new or creating  something that makes you happy? We can’t wait to inspire you all year long and teach you some new skills!

While I love this color combination that Meagan used for our macrame coasters, you can always use whatever color of macrame cord you prefer.

Crafting tips: The knots we used for these color block macrame coasters are: Larks Head Knot and Half Hitch Knot. If you need a refresher, make sure to watch our video courses on how to make these knots.
